+1st Race @ 1.25pm

+Track likely Heavy 9 & Rail True:

*RACE 1 @ 1.25pm GPE ELECTRICAL & COMMUNICATION CONTRACTOR MAIDEN HCP (900m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

TOP SELECTION: 1. BOY FROM TENNESSEE (Ron Stubbs/Josh Richards; 58.5kg & barrier 9) -we kick off with the maidens over the short course on a surface well into heavy range. Confident this lightly raced & improving home track 5YO by Love Conquers All can strike 2nd-up in only his 2nd prep, with blinkers being added. Came off a 33 week spell to work home nicely from the second half here in a handy maiden 23 days ago when backed from $5.50 into $4.20. Bred to thrive in any wet ground; and the stable rarely has to wait long for a breakthrough

MAIN DANGERS: 2. *Four Esses; 3. *Shadow Black; 11. *Momentice

Likely Tempo: Good

My BET PLAN: BOY FROM TENNESSEE to WIN & Trifecta: 1/2,3,11/2,3,11

*RACE 2 @ 2.05pm ALBURY DEMOLITIONS MAIDEN PLATE (1600m) – Set Weights; Apprentices Can Claim:

TOP SELECTION: 2. DHANUSH (Leon & Troy Corstens/Jake Duffy; 59kg & barrier 8) -still with the maidens; but getting out to the mile at set weights. Keen on this consistent & still improving Victorian-based 4YO by dual Group 1 winner Smart Missile 5th-up if he backs up in 3 days. Comes over the border at the right time after being placed in his last three, hitting the line late at Swan Hill as a well backed favourite before ridden quieter and again finishing hard at Warracknabeal last Saturday. No concern going from soft to heavy ground on a quick turnaround, and he will relish settling back and be given plenty of time to let down on a big and spacious track

MAIN DANGERS: 1. *Brilliant Badger; 5. *Richie Tycoon; 7. *Ten Feathers; 10. *I See Stars

Likely Tempo: Reasonable to Solid

My BET PLAN: DHANUSH to WIN

*RACE 3 @ 2.40pm AVIS COUNTRY BOOSTED MAIDEN PLATE (1175m) – Set Weights; Apprentices Can Claim:

TOP SELECTION: 4. REWARD IN TIME (Michelle Teale/Ms Coriah Keatings a1.5kg; 57.5kg & barrier 12) -back to a modest sprint battle again for the maidens at set weights; and it shapes best at the value for this underrated & tough 6YO by Reward For Effort coming back in distance 3rd-up & significantly on a 9 day turnaround. Resumed off a year-long break with a fighting effort from the front at Gundagai when only collared late before likely pushed out to 1400m too soon at Wagga and weakened after leading a better field than this. Has the tactical speed to off-set the wide draw, and fitter now, he can give an enormous sight back over a more suitable journey

MAIN DANGERS: 1. **Chevrolet Star; 6. *Space Academy; 7. *Cab Perrio

Likely Tempo: Solid

My BET PLAN: REWARD IN TIME to WIN & Trifecta: 1,4/1,4,6,7/1,4,6,7

*RACE 4 @ 3.15pm ATM HERE CLASS 1 HCP (1000m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

TOP SELECTION: 4. TIME ANGEL (Allan Fitzgerald/Nick Heywood; 58kg & barrier 13) -the lower class sprinters lock horns here over the 5 furlongs; and very keen to back this emerging Victorian 4YO by O’lonhro who can go back-to-back at only his 2nd start & 4 weeks between runs. Stuck on fairly when leading on debut in a handy lineup at Wodonga before leading all the way in smart fashion at Wagga over this trip in heavy going. Drawn much wider here, but he has the tactical speed to get across, and bred to thrive in wet ground, he carries a kilo less here

MAIN DANGERS: 3. *Nay Hay Hay; 6. **Aqualina’s Star; 8. *Tropical Breeze; 9. **Spirit Lake

Likely Tempo: Solid to Good

My BET PLAN: TIME ANGEL to WIN & Box Exacta: 4,6,9

*RACE 5 @ 3.55pm STEWART GOULD REAL ESTATE COUNTRY BOOSTED BENCHMARK 58 HCP (1500m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

TOP SELECTION: 11. FUTURISTIC (Rob Wellington/Ms Brittany Button a3kg; 52kg & barrier 13) -tricky & open affair for the restricted middle distance rivals; but there’s terrific value around this honest home track 5YO by prolific wet track side Zoustar who is well placed at the weights deep into his prep, and rising in distance. Failed to run home in very heavy ground here 2 starts ago against deeper opposition; but made late ground at Wodonga again in a race with more depth. Desperate for this longer journey now, and for that elusive 2nd career win; and gets in light after the jockey’s 3kg allowance. Settles well off speed from the wider gate, and be given his head past the 450m

MAIN DANGERS: 1. *Dynamic One; 2. **Zontawah; 3. **Vaaroom; 5. *Jedinak; 6. *Tillman; 9. *Sorry Sunshine

Likely Tempo: Reasonable to Solid

My BET PLAN: FUTURISTIC Each Way & First Four: 2,3,11/1,2,3,5,6,9,11/1,2,3,5,6,9,11/1,2,3,5,6,9,11

*RACE 6 @ 4.35pm MEREDITH ROOF PLUMBING BENCHMARK 66 HCP (1000m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

TOP SELECTION: 2. SHEILA (Andrew Dale/Ms Alysha Warren a2kg; 59kg &  barrier 3) -up in grade for an even and open group of sprinters; and an ultra consistent 6YO Victorian mare can continue to build an impressive record, and take her winning strike rate to 30 percent from 24 starts. Worked home late in similar company at Corowa 2 starts ago, before surging home from a similar spot to easily claim a BM 58 at Wagga in bog conditions. Hard fit, and back in the winner’s stall, she rises in grade at the right time, and is unbeaten from 3 starts in heavy. Gets enough speed on here to settle a few lengths back with cover from a soft draw, and cut loose over the final 350m

MAIN DANGERS: 1. *Sojustkoby; 4. *Showies Best Shot; 6. **Starliv; 7. **Shooting For Stars; 8. **Mooshaka; 9. *Super Sunny Seeya

Likely Tempo: Good

My BET PLAN: SHEILA TO WIN & Box Trifecta: 2,6,7,8

*RACE 7 @ 5.10pm MEREDITH JOINERY CLASS 1 HCP (1400m) – Min Weight 55kg; Apprentices Can Claim:

TOP SELECTION: 5. YAM (Craig Weeding/Ms Hannah Edgley; 58kg & barrier 5) a competitive battle for this class to close the meeting; and it stacks up well for this still progressing Victorian-based 4YO by Pluck who can rubber-stamp some solid form 4th-up on a 9 day turnaround. Tracked the speed before missing by a whisker in a handy CL1 here 2 starts back before being ridden much quieter at Wagga & charging home late to miss by a neck. That run reads well for this over 100m further, and he’s advantaged returning to heavy ground

MAIN DANGERS: 2. **Penciled; 3. *Easy Company; 4. *Levis Criminalibus; 6. *Indira; 11. **Southern Dancer

Likely Tempo: Solid

My BET PLAN: YAM to WIN & First Four: 2,5,11/2,3,4,5,6,11/2,3,4,5,6,11/2,3,4,5,6,11
